Litt went on to manage an amusement parks for Schlitz Brewing before striking out on his own with a dime museum and later, the Bijou Opera House.THE DIME MUSEUMS Dime museums were a 19th century entertainment phenomenon that lasted from 1880 until 1900. These museums featured magicians, dancers, jugglers, and freaks of nature in exhibits that predated the traveling circus and carnival midways of more recent years.
