Apartment Review for Jefferson Block Apartments - Milwaukee, WI

While rental options are somewhat limited in the 3rd ward, I'd strongly recommend that renters avoid Jefferson Block if at all possible. Minor maintence is quickly taken care of, but bigger issues like water pipes bursting or fire alarm malfunction seems to happen more frequently. Additionally, the management staff has been extremely difficult (and I'm an experienced renter, and know what to expect out of a management company!) Incorrect late fees, unresponsive management and lack of timely communication on key issues (like break-ins) has made my stay unpleasant. Several friends and coworkers used to live in the building, and all of them did not receive their security deposit back, and were charged additional rent even when the unit had been re-rented. If you want to rent in 3rd ward, check craigslist or go to gaslamp! Avoid J-Block, it isn't worth the headache!
